I am going to use this space to blow my own trumpet! Going For Gold is selling brilliantly ahead of The Olympics. I find it very heartening to know that schools are using my song to help celebrate this historic event coming to London in the summer. Thank you to everyone who has bought it so far. Maybe I shouldn’t say this but I will… I don’t think that Going For Gold is my best song. If you like what you hear, then it is definitely worth checking out the rest of The Music Box album which is heavily curriculum linked and full of catchy and relevant songs. I missed the boat with writing a Jubilee song… but left that to Gary Barlow! I am hoping that there will be more big events to celebrate in the coming months so that I can write some new material that reaches a wider audience. The Olympics are now just around the corner and I am very excited to be in London while the event takes place, running some workshops in West London before hitting a few festivals and small local theatres (Chipping Norton Theatre) during the remaining summer weeks. Summer will arrive. Team GB will succeed in London. Mr Myles will keep on writing and recording new songs for you. Thanks for your inspiration :-)
